I want to update what is going to be talked about for the rest of May at True North.
April 29th - Living Victoriously - Psalm 37Worry, fear, and pain are nothing new in our lives, even if we are followers of Jesus Christ. But do we have to dwell in worry? Could these times of fear and pain be seasonal? God gives us a game plan for dealing with struggles in life. We begin our "Living Victoriously" series by digging into a Psalm written by a warrior and king.
May 6th - Stop acting like a victim, you are a victor! - Colossians 2:15Because of Jesus' death and resurrection from the dead, the forces of hell are already defeated. Those evil forces, though stripped of their authority continue to roam earth placing believers in a mode of defeat, feeling victimized. It is time to dig in our heels, refuse to go down defeated, and choose to live as a victor in God's given authority.
May 13th - The Tools of a Victor - Ephesians 6In being a victor we must recognize the tools God has given us to use.Ephesians 6:17 encourages us to use God's Word, just as a soldier would yield his main offensive weapon, the sword. Let's pick up and use what God has given us, we are victors with the tools needed for victory.
May 20th - The Tools of a Victor: Part 2 - 2 Corinthians 10:3Being equipped with the right tools is only part of being a victor. As a believer in Jesus Christ we must also know our opponent and the game plan for victory. The message is a continuation of exploring what God has already given us to be victorious.
May 27th - Victor or Victim? The Final Taste Test In striving to live victoriously we would all say "I gave 100 percent."But have we? Are we really victorious? Here's a taste test to see how victorious we are in living for God.
Look forward to seeing you their!
